Guillermo Simón

Simon is the painter of the sea, the main protagonist of his works, halfway between landscape painting and abstract expressionism.

Guillermo Simón discovered the sea through his maternal grandfather, the Llastrín fisherman Simón Gallego, a nonagenarian survivor of storms. He was introduced to painting by his paternal grandfather, Guillermo Simón, who was also a painter, like him. As a child, he would take him in his "2CV" to paint outdoors. Today, the grandson carries both of them within him.
